Raised in a small Ontario town, Jeannette developed an early appreciation for the outdoors and strong community connections. She earned her BA and BEd at Nipisisng University and taught for the Upper Grand District School Board for 18 years. Recently, Jeannette joined her husband Brian to work full time running the family vegetable farm, Lennox Farm, in Melancthon, Ontario. She strives to bridge the gap between farming practices and learning, helping others foster a deeper understanding of, and respect for the land and the food that nourishes them.

Jeannette strives to model good stewardship of the earth using regenerative farming practices. Through innovative teaching methods and hands-on experiences, Jeannette empowers future generations to become conscientious food consumers and caretakers of the earth.

Jeannette is actively involved in community initiatives aimed at promoting local agriculture, food security, and environmental protection. Whether through hosting workshops, volunteering at local schools, fundraising, or advocacy, Jeannette is committed to nurturing thriving communities rooted in a sustainable food system. As both an educator and farmer, Jeannette exemplifies the powerful synergy between education and agriculture.
